What A Month Costs
The plan price plus every percentage and per-payment fee each plan charges, on card payments for services taken in person, for one provider. Square is shown at its in-person rate, its lowest: Free, and Plus, the cheapest plan with no-show fees. Fidden is shown at its Tap to Pay rate, 2.7% + 15¢. In person, Square Free costs less than every Fidden plan: it has no monthly fee and a lower in-person rate. Fidden Momentum costs $43.99 more a month at $4,000 in bookings and $49.99 more at $10,000, and Foundation's 7% commission makes it the most expensive line in the table.
Against Square Plus, the plan you need for no-show fees, Fidden Momentum costs less up to about $4,500 a month in bookings. Past that, Plus's lower rate makes it the cheaper of the two.
Deposits And No-Show Fees
A deposit is paid online when the client books, so Square charges its online rate on it: 3.3% + 30¢ on Free, and 2.9% + 30¢ on Plus. On a $30 deposit, that is $1.29 on Square Free, against $1.17 at Fidden's standard online rate, 2.9% + 30¢.
Square's no-show and late cancellation fees need Plus, at $49 a month, and are charged to the client's card on file at 3.5% + 15¢: $2.78 to charge a $75 no-show in full. Fidden takes a deposit at booking on every plan, the free one included, and a late cancellation or no-show fee comes out of the deposit the client already paid, so there is no second charge to make.
This compares fees, not features. Square's plans connect to the rest of Square, from invoicing to online selling, and Plus adds a waitlist and multi-staff booking. Fidden's plans add Fidda, its AI business partner, with deposits at booking on every plan and no booking fee for your clients.
